Join Our Team
The Well (formerly Barksdale Missions) is expanding, and we’re inviting compassionate, skilled behavioral health professionals to join our mission-driven practice. We’re seeking licensed clinicians and Bachelor’s- or Master’s-level interns who are passionate about walking alongside individuals and families through life’s challenges—helping them find hope, healing, and lasting change.
Why The Well
At The Well: Family Support, you’ll experience the independence of private practice without the burden of managing billing, credentialing, or administrative tasks.
Step away from corporate systems and into a supportive, purpose-driven practice that invests in your growth, balance, and well-being.
If you’re committed to providing high-quality, client-centered care and want to be part of a team that values empathy, integrity, and innovation, we’d love to hear from you.
What We Offer
Flexible schedules designed to fit your life
Telehealth and hybrid/remote work opportunities
Private, fully furnished office space
Full-time or part-time options
A collaborative, supportive environment rooted in purpose
Licensed Clinicians
We welcome licensed and provisionally licensed behavioral health professionals—LCSW, LPC, LMFT, PhD/PsyD, or PLPC/LMSW/LMFTA—who are dedicated to providing compassionate, evidence-based care to individuals and families.
While we do not currently offer licensing supervision for provisionally licensed clinicians, we provide case supervision and professional support while you work with an external supervisor to complete your hours.
We also offer supervision for Alcohol and Drug Counselors pursuing credentials such as the CADC or other designations through MAAP.
Licensed Clinicians at The Well Receive:
$1,000 annual Professional Development Stipend for continuing education, certifications, or supervision
Marketing & Referral Support (featured on our website and social media)
Administrative Support (billing, scheduling, and insurance handled for you)
Paneling Assistance (credentialing and insurance enrollment support)
Opportunities to facilitate groups and workshops
Peer Consultation Groups for ongoing professional support
Flexible caseload options to prevent burnout
Internship Opportunities
At The Well, education is a cornerstone of our mission. We provide a supportive, hands-on learning environment for Bachelor’s- and Master’s-level interns who are eager to grow in the behavioral health field.
Our internship program includes:
Weekly supervision and case consultation
Opportunities to observe or co-facilitate sessions and groups
Participation in community-based initiatives and outreach
Mentorship and professional development tailored to your program requirements
We believe in nurturing the next generation of social workers, counselors, and family professionals by offering real-world experience, guidance, and education-based supervision that meets university standards.
