Anna Ramsey is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and National Certified Counselor (NCC) who is passionate about helping children, adolescents, young adults, and families navigate life’s challenges with confidence and resilience. She earned her Master of Science in Counselor Education from Mississippi State University and has experience providing counseling and support in both school and clinical settings.
Anna specializes in working with children ages 4 and older, teens, college students, and adults experiencing anxiety, ADHD, behavioral concerns, autism, depression, grief, self-esteem challenges, life transitions, trauma, and social or relationship difficulties. She also enjoys partnering with parents by providing practical tools, guidance, and support as they help their children thrive.
Her counseling approach is person-centered, strengths-based, and tailored to each client’s unique needs. Anna integrates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness, nervous system regulation, trauma-informed care, and creative interventions to support growth and healing. With younger clients, she frequently incorporates play therapy techniques to help children express emotions, develop coping skills, improve emotional regulation, and strengthen relationships.
Anna has completed advanced training in Directive Play Therapy Techniques, Trauma-Informed Play Therapy, and Sand Tray and Play Therapy and is actively pursuing additional specialized training in play therapy.
In addition to her clinical work, Anna served as a school counselor, providing individual and group counseling, collaborating with families and educators, and supporting students’ social-emotional development. This experience gives her a unique understanding of the challenges children, adolescents, and families face both at home and in school.
Anna strives to create a warm, supportive environment where clients feel seen, heard, and empowered. Her goal is to help individuals and families build confidence, strengthen coping skills, and develop the tools needed to navigate life’s challenges and flourish.
